Volunteer Subjects Wanted for Online Research

CanadianAudiologist.ca is pleased to provide a service for our readers where interested audiology clients can be referred for an on-line experience to be a volunteer subject in an experiment/survey being run by researchers at Canadian universities.

Following is a brief overview of the research that has been approved by their university’s ethics approval board. Each of these research overviews can be printed out and advertised in your office for interested patients.

Please consult our “Terms of Use" section, which can be found at the bottom of this page, particularly the section on "External Links and Advertisements." CanadianAudiologist.ca provides those external links as a convenience and takes no responsibility for other websites' use and content.

This survey is part of a PhD research project examining how audiologists across Canada support music listening for adults who use hearing aids — an area that can differ from speech-focused fittings. It asks about how often music comes up in clinical practice, what strategies or adjustments clinicians use specifically for music, and how effective those approaches seem based on their professional experience. The survey takes approximately 15–25 minutes to complete.
