Canadian Audiologist is the most well-read hearing health care magazine in Canada and goes free of charge to all hearing health care professionals. We have regular columnists who contribute their experience, and humour on a bimonthly basis. Gael Hannan, Alberto Behar, Peter Stelmacovich, Calvin Staples, Wayne Staab, Steve Aiken, Sheila Moody, Samidha Joglekar, Janine Verge, Maxine Armstrong, and Kim Tillery continue to share with us well-written opinions, views, and information that is both easy to read and always quite informative.

This 6th issue of Canadian Audiologist marks the end of the first year of publication, and the future is bright. The year 2015 brings a continuation of our regular columns and some special treats such as a special issue dedicated completely to noise and its effects.

The production and publication of Canadian Audiologist would not be possible without the amazing work of the people behind the scenes. Jean Holden is the executive director of the Canadian Academy of Audiology and under her helmsmanship, Canadian Audiologist would not have been possible. Dr. Steve Aiken, well known to most of you, is our associate editor and he makes sure that nothing is forgotten, ignored, or missed. Scott Bryant’s name appears under the title “managing editor” but that means that Scott really does everything from copyediting to bottle-washing. And, finally the people from Plank publishing have to be thanked. They are the people who take over when Scott and I “push the button” and send the issue content into the aether.

Other than regular columns, Canadian Audiologist also has regular feature articles that touch on virtually all aspects of hearing health care. Submissions are welcome from any of our readers and these should be sent to my attention at Marshall.Chasin@rogers.com. Be sure to include a pretty picture of yourself as well.

Since this issue marks the last issue before Christmas, I wish you and your families a healthy and relaxing holiday season. See you again for issue #1 in 2015 in January.

Best regards, Marshall

Meilleures salutations, Marshall
