Striking the Right Balance: Update from the CAA Vestibular Committee – Second Edition of Vestibular Assessment & Management for Canadian Audiologists: A Scoping Review

In 2017, the CAA National Vestibular Special Interest Group (also known as the CAA Vestibular Committee) released the first edition of the Vestibular Assessment & Management for Canadian Audiologists: A Scoping Review document. To read more about this document and its creation check out this previous issue of Striking the Right Balance1 in Canadian Audiologist.
As with most things in Audiology, much has changed in the past eight years since this document was first released. We are excited to announce that a group of vestibular audiologists on the authorship committee are actively working on the second edition of this document. It is anticipated that this updated version will be available later this year or in early 2026.
All sections in the current version of this document have been reviewed and updated as necessary, including using the most up-to-date literature to ensure the information in this document remains evidence informed.
New Content Included in the Second Edition
We are excited to share that the following topics have been included with the second edition of this document:

- A section on Vestibular Screening, including:

- Fall Risk Screening
- Outcome Measures
